Dr. S. C. Kansal, Chairman

With his long standing experience in high-tech product industry and consulting companies, Dr. Kansal brings to SM Macario a wealth of marketing, corporate strategy, business development, and sales experience. He has a strong background in building early stage companies and in advising on business development, finance and strategy. He brings a profound understanding of the challenges and opportunities inherent in business process integration.

Dr. Kansal is primarily responsible for the development and execution of organization’s business strategies, market positioning, and branding and Client relationship management. Possessing excellent Client engagement & leadership skills, he has given direction to some key initiatives in Business Development.

He has acumen for establishing companies and running them successfully. In addition to SM Macario, he also heads a number of establishments under SM Group. Under his leadership, SM Group has not only grown but also risen to the extent of being honored with National Award by Govt. of India for its innovativeness and developmental capabilities. He holds a Doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and is also on the panel of examiners at IIT Bombay for M. Tech and Ph.D. candidates.

Air Commodore KR BALI AVSM VSM (Retd)

Air Cmde Bali, BTech MTech Msc FIETE, is an engineer of standing and repute with 44 years of experience and a very enviable track record. A graduate of Defence Services Staff Colleges, Wellington, he held some of the most prestigious, challenging and demanding appointments in the IAF during a very distinguished career spanning over 33 years. As a recognition of his professionalism, dedication and drive, he was conferred with two most coveted awards of Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal by His Excellency, the President of India. Subsequently, he joined Central Electronics Ltd (CEL- a Govt. of India Undertaking) and put in sustained efforts and provided new direction and leadership as the Exec Director. His pioneering efforts and initiatives, during his very eventful stint of 5 and a half years at CEL, paved the way for its eventual turn-around. Air Cmde BALI then joined Su-Kam Power Systems Ltd in 2003, and helped in its transformation into a Power Back-up Major. At Su-Kam, he planned and set up five manufacturing units at Baddi (HP) while steering other key activities also, as Director (Strategic Planning). He has now joined SM Group and brings with him a wealth of experience in areas of strategic planning, technology-absorption/operationalisation, R&D, manufacturing and project management.

Ashish Kansal, Managing Director

With several years of experience in high-tech industries including manufacturing and defense, Ashish has always looked at working with cutting edge technologies and developing products that are best-in-class.

At SM Macario, his primary responsibility is to ensure a sound growth strategy and focus on merger-and-acquisition activity to aid the company’s growth. He is also responsible for developing product and corporate strategies. He has been instrumental in introducing and acquiring a steady stream of new clients. He has been extremely effective at fostering long-term partnerships.

Ashish also heads the product innovation division of S M group. Ashish has an engineering degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi and Master’s degree in General Engineering from Georgia Tech, USA.

Sudhir Jangir, CEO

Sudhir has several years of valuable experience in the IT industry. He as been in the roles of leading, architecting, designing and developing software projects and driving them to successful completion.

With several years of industry experience in execution of various offshore & onshore IT projects, Sudhir brings with him a lot of wealthy expertise in managing and mobilizing project teams, maintaining quality assurance and establishing communication channel for big international names. He also has keen interest in technology up gradation, account management, and high-level project management for the offshore division.

Sudhir holds an engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Utkarsh Panwar, CTO

With several years of industry experience in execution of various offshore & onshore IT projects, Utkarsh brings diverse technology management capabilities to S M Macario. He has a long standing industry experience in managing big technology solutions for several international organizations.

Utkarsh’s responsibilities at S M Macario include leading the company’s efforts to establish a common process, platform, tools and components that can be used to further accelerate product development and test. He has been instrumental in establishing strategic offshore delivery models and guiding the Engineering team to develop innovative, out-of-the-box products & solutions.

He holds an engineering degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and Master’s in Software Systems from BITS Pilani.
